Ah everyone knows that time of day where nothing is being accomplished? Where you're just probably rotting in front of the television or counting those mini dots that seem to be immobile in the ceiling. Don't you just love at the same time despise those moments? Its complete junk yet so priceless... complete relaxed stress is what I call it.

Anyways like I said in previous post it is the new year... I self dub this year the year of music.. haha I wish to drown myself in it more than usual. If you wish to do the same I will post here some links of some bands/musicians you guys should definately check out. I will only post like 5 bands every so often. Hopefully I become a mini 'reliable' critic/reviewer. - Fran

Cems Music
For those who love looking at the beach or wonderful scenery and then closing your eyes with the wind on your face... this is more than perfect for you. When I first saw this guy I thought he was gonna go crazy and shout on stage... then he goes on and sings a different kind of chill, steady, one man army music. Good stuff.
Fran's Must Listen to: She Must've Been Dreaming

Effinboiche
First saw this band at the soundskool thingy... friendly bunch of people, said hello to a few of them too... their singer was timid and shy with just "hi" and "thanx" replies here and there... then when she got on stage she seemed angry over some rockstar who broke her heart or so their song goes. Lovely voice.
Fran's Must Listen to: Rockstar Encore

Outerhope
You know I actually want to catch these people live one time. I will try to find out where they play. One of the people on their myspace commented a perfect line for them. "Quiet is the new loud"
Fran's Must Listen to: Race To The Sky

Vedera
An amazing band with an amazing singer. Oh my god what kind of voice does she have... when she sings in the chorus its like you just want to stop and listen to her... I don't care if you're male or female... prolonged exposure to this girls voice might make you fall in love with her.
Fran Must Listen to: The Falling Kind

Airport Drama
Im not really a punk fan but I don't really think Alvins Airport Drama is pure punk. He seems to have thrown mixtures of other things and it sounds good. No he doesn't have shallow words like many punk bands. In fact he plays around with a lot of words (Not to mention unique song titles). Watch them play live if ever, a lot of energy!
Fran Must Listen to: I Burnt My Eyeslashes On An Ashtray At The Sands Of Boracay

On a side note, click on this guys, there is nothing to lose and friend of mine already won something! Its so simple too, don't worry its not a scam or anything. CLICK ME.

Love vedera, dude! They used to be called Veda when they opened up for Thrice for their Vheissu North American Tour. From what i've heard lately, they've lost their rawness, vying for a more The-Hills-Friendly type of sound. I think they actually got played on that freakin' show.
=)

You've heard of their old stuff right? Super raw. I'll try to find their old album that I have and maybe send you some stuff? Astig yo. I saw them play at this small gig in SF (hotel utah saloon). Cool guys. They sound-checked with Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah. She is amazing.
