Have had a few suggestive emails asking for some FROSTING MUSIC?  Is this a SCAM?

No, no, no.

All through the summer of '08 we have been recording what will be the official first release of The Frosting Collaborative.

Out of a potential 30 tracks, the list has been narrowed down to a manageable 15-20 that will actually hit tape.  We'll then trim that down a bit for the actual release.  Ms Laura came by again last Thu, mind you, to throw down some vocals before laryngitis set in.

As for now, 10 songs are 90% there, 4 are 60% there.   Mind you, this is all being weaved throughout the time that JAVELINAS (www.myspace.com/javelinas) aren't out and about, so it's a little calendar tetris, if you dig.

Why we chose to NOT put tracks up in the current process:

Well, growing up, I couldn't hear a new band or band I liked until the product was finished.  I still believe in that. As hard as it is to do, I am restraining from putting up half-mixed songs so people can listen for an ADD attention span of 30 seconds before moving on to something else.

If all you'll give us is 30 seconds, we'll give you our best.

We will also try  our damnest to not let out the music before it is fully available for purchase. 

Having full support from our label, we're just gonna do whatever the fuck we want, and they'll be right by our side.
