After a very nice morning/afternoon shopping, watching movies, and playing with my boyfriend...
I put on a pretty dress and was ready to spend a night with my girls. :)

Allison arrived in lovely fashion to pick me up!
She let me be DJ in the car, so naturally we listened to
Snoop Dog, Bob Dylan, and some old school boy bands.

We picked up Carly!
Then we hopped on the highway and headed to Akron for a show at Musica.

We noticed the clouds getting pretty dark...
Then we each received calls/texts from our mothers telling us to be careful.

It started raining. Heavily.
Being the troopers we are, the three of us ran through the downpour
in our dresses to a coffee shop in Highland Square.

We got our teas and coffee and decided to face the rain once more.

We pulled into a parking deck to drink our warm beverages,
make sure our makeup didn't smear too badly,
and to give Melanie a call and meet up with her.

Allison finds Melanie!
We say our hellos and head into Musica.

The reason we went to the venue is because we were formally invited by Carly.
She is a member of 91.3, "The Summit," a radio station here in Akron.
They were having a Summer Solstice celebration
with a band called DE SOL playing.
We got a lot of free "members only" swag!

We also got free sushi! :D

Allison turned 21 this past week, so she got herself a beer
to compliment her lovely dinner.

I was still very wet (pardon the dirty wording)
but I wanted to explore!

We found this backdrop that represented Akron's history.
Melanie looks great in this. She managed to stay dry!

The ANGRY CHAIR and corresponding painting.

At that point I was very cold and wanted to start dancing!

Allison was ready too.
She kept running into creepy people.

First, in typical girl fashion, we all went to the bathroom.

We took a lot of pictures there...

We danced to DE SOL for a while,
Allison flirted with the guitarist,
then we went outside to get some fresh air.

Haha I am so gross.

I figured out how Melanie managed to stay dry!

We were all bummed because we thought Mel was going to leave...

But she didn't!

We hopped back in Allison's ride,
and she told us she was taking us to a SECRET ALLEY...

We crawled through a rabbit hole
and into this alley that was COVERED with amazing graffiti.

So, naturally, we had a photoshoot...

Carly liked to dance...

Allison taught us all her "signature pose."

Yeah!

I thought this face was so beautiful.
It's amazing that there were so many broken beer bottles and gang graffiti,
because there were some really beautiful pieces done in that little alley.

I felt so cool with those girls. :)

They are seriously some of the greatest girls I've ever met.

It was such an incredible night.
