Everyone has dreams. After receiving an unexpected promotion from the mailroom, Edward "Eddie" Black (Casey Washington) is now a step closer to his dream of becoming an advertising mogul. He's now an entry-level advertising executive for the biggest advertising agency in the land, Homogeny Advertising.

As Eddie sets out on his corporate adventure, he is met with the obsessive-compulsive receptionist, Rolanda Adams (Yvette Sanders), as well as his new co-workers; the cocky Brian West (Scott Alan), the stoic Jen Roberts (Sara Fletcher), the career-driven Steve Finley (Blake Kushi), and the fair-weather Miles Winestaple (Demond Robertson); and his new boss, Peter Rosenbaum (Dameon Clarke).

Eddie finds out that social expectations in the corporate world differ greatly than from where he's from. But fortunately, he has his "keeping it real" neighbor, Big Mark (Tshaka Stewart) to give him advice on how to make it.

Eddie realizes that just being one Eddie Black may not be enough to be successful in corporate America and in life.
