Approaching Venice Blvd. from a distance this morning, I wondered if the steady green light would stay that way long enough for me to make it across.  Then I saw a car make it through the intersection with no problem...traveling on Venice Blvd.
I didn't think much of it at the time, except that usually when people run a red light they at least slow down.
Then later of course I had to overthink things and try to account for the ten seconds or so that stood between my getting to work as normal and my new job as a hood ornament.
I decided it was roughly the time I took setting up my iPod in the car that saved me from being t-boned into next Tuesday.
I suppose I could give the credit to the time I took to wash my feet or something but I like the iPod idea better.
