Expensive Taste: Zombie-conomy

Hollow-wood, CA: The not too distant future…..

Social theorist Erich Fromm called greed "a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction."

Minimum wage is $5.15/hr 40 hrs/wk. 52weeks/yr = $10,712

Simon Cowell $45,000,000/yr

Ava Rice Worldwide is a Multimedia Conglomerate. Movie Stars, Recording "Artists", CEO's, Professional Athletes remain elite and prosperous while the rest of the world suffers. Disease, death, poverty, starvation, violence and crime are reality to the rest of the world. How could we possibly coax compassion out of the wealth-hoarders? They earned it? PLEASE! What have the rest of us earned? We work for less than $40 a day, paid $100 for a ticket to see them at their "job" and gave them a fortune comprised of OUR money. They didn't earn it; we gave everything to them. We've been conned, I want my money back: Celebrity is the ultimate pyramid scheme.

Professional Narcissism is a lucrative business and ego the only skill to qualify one for the job. Would it take the rest of us dying from a mysterious plague due to our devastating conditions to inspire charity? Would they notice if we suddenly dropped dead before we finished washing their Roles Royce, flying their G4 or raising their children for them? Maybe their apathy wouldn't allow them to blink, let alone shed a tear. Perhaps they'd prefer that America turn into their own private country club. I'm sure they wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it. Am I too harsh? I see NO generosity! What if we didn't stay dead? What if we all were raised from the dead, this time with greed of our own? Consider if the remainder of the human race had a bottomless, endless hunger to take everything from them; including their limbs, their blood, their brains, and their lives. All the while, our false idols alone had the resources to prevent our entire undoing but lacked the charity in their hearts to make a stand. Pitiful. I leave it to the walking dead to scare them straight. Inhumane Vs. Inhuman. Dead inside Vs. Undead. Go ahead, Eat Rich.

Ahhhh yes. Zombie-conomy. Boo.

I sometimes wish that I were rich just so that I could donate that extra extra extra money that I don't need to people that really need it.

you see the thing is...the only people that do get rich are the very lucky--lotto, vegas, inheritance etc. people in various forms of entertainment and then the majority being people who's main drive their whole life is to become rich. This would be CEO's and such...you don't become a CEO or top salesperson without having a huge passion for wanting money.
But, at it's core, what is the allure of having that much money? seriously im asking
