In our last issue we had an extensive 3-page interview with the true old school death metal commando ERODED from Germany. Well, now here we have the self-titled debut album from ERODED, but these guys hail from Italy. Funnily they also perform true old school death metal the ancient way it was meant to be (well, what else do you expect, if the band's name is inspired by one of the most classic GRAVE tunes ever). The nine tracks are mostly mid-paced played with an audible touch of the early 90s Swedish death metal underground scene. Both musicianship and songwriting are neither pioneering nor trailblazing, but it's for sure a 100% solid and massive death metal assault!
