Items from Sarah: 1. Critical Mass - Discussion of the need for a "Pep
Talk", need to have the group to stay together, avoid causing problems
for drivers, to be a ride where new riders can get comfortable riding
in traffic, need to have awareness of traffic laws regarding bikes to
educate ourselves, drivers, police.
2. Tour de Cowtown - SwapMeet and Alleycat Race May 19
Please try to get donations from merchants. Bike stuff, Food, cash,
services, Massage, etc.
Please get the information (Contact Person, Web Address, Telephone
Number) to Sarah so they can be on the t-shirt and linked from the
KCBikeFed and Acme sites.
3. City Council Meeting - Wednesday March 14, Meet at Acme at 1:30 PM
to be seen and heard as the council discusses the "Panhandling"
ordinance, proposed by John Fairfield.
4. KCBikeFed received a $100 donation from Johnson County Bicycle
Club. Thanks to them.

Grant/Jason
Distributed proofs of Bike Escort brochure. Various members are
available and have designated that they will be willing. I'll update
the member list on a spreadsheet.

Idris/Sean
They ran an ad in Craigslist requesting donations of Bike Parts and
received a bunch of parts. Working on a plan for "Blue Bikes"
supported by advertising for use around Downtown.
Broadway Cafe has a pump available. Brief discussion of solutions for
making tools available.

Timo: "Blazing Saddles" program at Kansas City Art Institute, for
students who don't have cars, repairing and maintaining. KCAI has
space available.

Kenneth: Described activities of the Major Taylor Foundation of
Greater Kansas City. They have a program with Genesis School (need
assistance), will have a Katy Trail Ride (dates?) with a need for one
chaperone for every 5 riders. There is a regular 11 AM Saturday ride
from Acme with the Major Taylor group beginning soon. MTFGKC also will
be using the Interpretive Center at Swope Park for office space and
leading bicycle tours and rentals at Swope Park.

Next Meeting: March 20 6:30PM Acme/Grinders.
