After my long winded, yet much approved of review of “Structures Of A Dying Matter”, I’ll be doing what I can to keep this review of an equally excellent album to a minimum. “From The Mouth Of The Passing” is an entirely different animal from it’s predecessor in style and structure. This time around, Martin Ciappara traded a straight forward grim black metal style for a twisted blackened funeral doom style. Blackened screeches and deathly growls and layered overtop one another with a soiled blanket of distortion and bass wrapped tightly around it (presumably to seal in the evil). This album is perfect for just laying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling and wondering where your life went wrong (I’m thinking around the time when I thought condoms were for chumps… KIDDING!). Now I’m chomping at the bit to see what Mr. Ciappara’s next vision of doom ’n’ gloom is going to be about!

Overall: “From The Mouth Of The Passing” would be an excellent addition to the library of any fan of black metal or doom. But don’t take my word for it! Da-dun-dun!  -  Typhon
