An earlier incarnation of the band played about 20 shows in 2001-2003, playing with such fine acts as Califone, Rilo Kiley, Slobberbone and Grant Hart (ex-Husker du), The Damnwells, Arlo, Meghan Toohey, Slade 33, Favorite, Atomic Hero, Jabe, Gloria Deluxe, The Hayseeds and Sam Bigelow at TT's, Lizard Lounge, Kendall Cafe and other clubs.
