Hey Wussup All!
Since the Beverly Hills disaster week, I've been keeping it busy as always. I've recovered from that allergy. (Lesson: Never try a NEW skin lotion without testing on ur forearm first)
I finally put aside some time to date and it was not what I expected. He was a little too much for me. The dinner was great! I went to Butter in downtown manhattan but it was an expensive restaurant! The only thing that got me excited about him is our connection musically....but the rest...was just not for me. *sigh* NEXT!
I am currently editing out this piece I've directed for AllHipHop which is part of a Studio Exclusive Series with Kardinal Offishall. Great to see another Canuck making it! Especially in music!
It should be published on the site by next week.
Friday, I made it to an on-camera interview for a Vh1 show. I can't speak on details about it because I've signed a confidentiality contract. All I can say is that in 3 weeks, they will confirm to me if it's a go for me. If so, I will be back in...Los Angeles for a month or so. Grrr......lol (still not a fan of that city!)
Also, I got the chance to speak to the owner of a radio station in New York that specialize in dance music....it's called Pulse 87. Star and Buckwild got a morning show over there now.
He loved my mix so now we are seeing if hopefully I can get a slot for my own show!! yay!! First gotta go thru the Program Director...Wish me luck!
Saturday, I was at Marquee opening for Jesse Marco. I think I'm goin to be doing this every week! It's the grind. I'm fighting that stereotype about hot girl djs...Some of us are REAL DJ's! Tuesday, I will be at One in Meat Packing District. I'm excited cuz it's a cute spot. I will be opening this week for DJ Martial and the upcoming weeks (bi-weekly) I will be headlining. That same day, from 7-10pm, I will be deejaying at S.O.B's for AllHipHop for their Breeding Ground Show. On Friday, October 3rd, I am headlining at Club Ultra. It's a big deal for me...please come party and show support!!
