Jingee, I can really relate to your birth experience. I had also decided it was the last one, and everything about it also felt final. It was more painful than I had expected, although I think it had to do with her position... when she did come out, she was pushing my bladder out over her forehead. I actually ended up having about 3 weeks of bedrest for my bladder to heal. It was bruised and swollen and miserable.

I did video my last birth (and several previous ones) but I haven't even been able to bring myself to watch it, much less share it with anyone. I was almost feeling ready to try watching it the other night, but haven't asked Jeff to get it out for me. We did have a much more sensual birth... although unlike the previous 2 who were born in the 3 a.m. hour, this one was during the day when the children were awake and around. We had no other adults in the house, just Jeff and I, but our son was 12 1/2 and very much a help with the younger children.

I am relating to your thoughts though... and I appreciate your sharing them here. Congratulations to you and Storm, and the rest of the family. Your baby is a beauty.

WOWIIIEEE!!!!

You look amazing. I wish I had your tummy. When I had 6% bodyfat, I still didn't have a tummy like yours. Your beautiful.

Thank you for all the inspiration in your newsletters.

Love, Peace & Blessings,

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing birth story. You are such an inspiration to women! The photos are wonderful too. You look fabulous, and Yarrow is so gorgeous.

I hope you decide to share the parts of your birth video that you feel comfortable with, as I believe this truly helps other women believe they can achieve a beautiful, natural birth as well.

You are providing strength and empowerment to so many. Thank you.

Jinjee,

Thank you for sharing all your beautiful birth stories. It is you who has given me the strength to consider unassisted birth.

I understand your feelings about whether to release the video or not. I think each experience is so unique and intimate. Even though the video would offer so much, as visual aids often do, I think your written stories give others enough ideas, insights, and even guidance to bring about enough of a sense of security for couples considering the same.

I bet its nice to have another Gemini in the house!

I am impressed with Storm's calm ability to tend to the cord as he did.

Congrats to the whole family!

Congratulations, Jinjee! You are such an inspiration to me as I begin raw foods! I have two young boys who both have autism - seeing what you and Storm have done with your children gives me hope that I can help my children! Thanks for all you have done - I did not know anything about raw foods until I found your website! God bless you! Mary in Northern CA

What a surprise to visit your site tonight and see you had another baby! I had visited not TOO long ago and had no idea!

I have 3 kids, the middle one (now 6) was SUPPOSED to be the last, now we have an 11 month old. The last 2 (both girls) were born at home unassisted - I can't imagine birthing any other way now. My middle child's birth was perfect. About 5 hours of labor, 3-4 pushes and almost no blood, placenta came out quickly. This last one was so hard! I was awake for about 2 hours of the labor (contractions started around noon the day before but very mild). Woke up around 5am in pain, told my husband to kill me, I couldn't take the 3+ hours I expected it to continue and before I knew it my water broke and a few minutes later she came tumbling out (didn't even have time to get down on my knees, so I was still standing when she was born). Cord was wrapped around her neck 2-3 times but it was so long! It touched the floor after we cut it and I was still standing. I also bled a lot and it took an hour or so for the placenta to come, but I think my husband tugged on it by accident, trying to hand her up to me before even unwrapping the cord. She is our last for sure :)

Jinjee.. you are the definintion of natural beauty and motherhood! I just read your journal on your website and you amaze me! I cannot get over how stunning you are at 40 years old ... not that 40 is old mind you.. but in this society that is so youth obsessed... many people would be shocked to know how beautiful a person can be at 40 with the right lifestyle. Your birthing stories are so inspirational.. I just got married two months ago and will probably start a family in the next year or two so of course I am now reading everything I can on pregnancy and child birth... is your dvd available yet? I just wanted to let you know that I would love to see your birth exactly as it was but if you feel the need to edit it or not even show it I completely understand that. Please contact me and let me know where I can get that dvd...

again, thank you so much.. one day I would love to meet you and Storm and the entire family.. I've been looking into maybe doing a retreat with you all...

thanks again... and much love.
