Current mood:  curious

Today I was chatting with someone that I have been acquainted with for the past year and a half that I've been active on MySpace and it just hit me.

I don't even know what this person looks like!

We chat almost daily (whenever they see that I'm on) and I've never even seen a picture of them. Hell, she (he, it) could be anybody! (lol)

I began to realize that there are so many people right here on MySpace who don't have one personal photo of themself posted on their profile. None, nada, zilch!

Why do you imagine this is? Are they hiding behind some great mystery? lol

Is it fair that they can see you but you can't see them?

So, I'm curious!

What do you think of people who have no photo of themselves posted on their profile?

YEAH THAT'S MY ATTITUDE

NO PHOTO NO CONVO!!!!!!!!! THAT'S WHAT I SAY...

While I agree with Tonya I like to see aq picture of who my friends are that's why I browse their photos. But I am finding that some people don't even put their real picture up, they use celebrities or friends because they only have the one picture in their photo album. I may not be the best looking brother on the planet but what you see is what you get. If you want to be my friend looks are not important, but I just like being able to put a face with the person I am talking to. I am alaways open for new friends, I am not here trying to make a love connection. So anyone with a photo is free to hit me up. Take care and stay strong. Peace and blessings to you.

Hey Biddy,

I agree with you, for some reason many people don't post their real photo.
There are so many people posting celebrity photos it makes me wonder why are they doing this? What are they hiding?
Is it really that bad to be yourself and be proud of who you are? If you don't want anyone to know who you are, then why are you even here? On most social networking sites you're there for either friends, networking, dating, or relationships, so what is the need to remain anonymous?
I'm here for networking and promoting my books, but how can I really network and sell myself and my product if nobody even knows who I am?

Hmmmmm...just something to think about!

Thanks for the comment Biddy!

Hey Brenda,

I might understand someone not posting a photo if they have a high profile job but...then comes another question, why are they even on MySpace?

Why would an ex FBI Agent be on MySpace and if he truly were ex FBI, why would he tell anyone?

Just wondering!

Thanks for your comment Brenda!

Hey Kimmie!

This is true too...I actually met someone on MySpace who had only one photo posted. I seriously had doubts from the beginning that it was his photo and asked him why didn't he post more. He told me that there were no more. I knew that was a lie because attractive men love to show off.
A few months later, I received a friend request from a man and as I was checking out his profile, I noticed that it was the same guy who only had one photo posted. He even had the actual photo posted that the other guy had posted.(yet they were two totally different profiles)
I sent him a note telling him that we were already friends on his other page. He replied that he didn't have another page, so I sent him the link to the other guys page. I then went to the other guys page and sent him a message asking him to check out the guy he was pertending to be profile, in the subject line I put BUSTED! He tried to clean it up by saying "OMG, how did you ever find my networking page?" I told him I didn't, his so-called networking page found me. He said "Yeah, my cousin monitors that page and I use it strictly for networking." But I wasn't buying it.
The guy who had recently sent me the friend request contacted me a few days later and confirmed that the guy was someone illegally using his photo, he is a model and claims that men do it all the time. He also said that he sent the guy a message but then the guy deleted his profile.

So I agree, out here in cyberspace a person can be whomever they want to be!

You just never know who you're talking to...it could be your next door neighbor! lol

Thanks Kimmie, I appreciate your comment!
