Reviews

Rolling Stone
(No. 969, p.116) - 4 stars out of 5
"[Shannon was] the best kind of rocker: a singer-songwriter with a great formula and a searching spirit. He never sounds less than a star."

Mojo (p.108) - 5 stars out of 5
"The two discs of demos and home recordings are fascinating: evidently he turned to country in the way that Elvis turned to gospel once he was out of the spotlight."

Uncut (p.149) - 4 stars out of 5
"On a par with Dion, Darin or Roy Orbison, real recognition is long overdue, but this ambitious, meticulous collection makes a convincing argument."
