Current mood: nostalgic
Oh, hello there. Welcome to our blog. What the fuck is blog? I always thought it was the stuff that leaked out of the cyst on old man McGregor's elbow. Anyway, we just got back from our four day tour. We had good times and bad, but it was ultimately better than the last two times we hit the road. On Wednesday, June 27, we loaded up the shit and headed to Washington, DC. Joe's sister Sally came along for the ride, which definitely evened out the testosterone in our 97 Chevy Blazer. We played a show that night at The Red & The Black. It went pretty well. Some friends from the area came out and the other band, Amateurs, rocked it. We went swimming that night and I got some major swimmer's ear, but we still had a good ol' time. Thanks Laura for letting us crash at your place. The next night we played in Philadelphia. Jeff and I are pretty lax vegetarians and gave into the pleasures of Pat's cheese steaks. They were off the chains. We played a kick ass show that night at the M Room with Johnny Action Figure and What Monsters. A bunch of people came out and we sold some t shirts and hung out with some of the nicest bands we've had a chance to meet. Thanks IDKIDM for coming out to the show. We drove to NYC through the night and hung out in Brooklyn and ate pierogis the next day. That night we played at the tiniest club in the city called Tommy's Tavern with our friends Mark Anderson (Containers), Fire & Brimstone, and Tall Grass. There were about eight people at the show, but it felt like a lot because the room was that small. Thanks to Mark and his roommates for being there and having a good time. We went bar hopping until four in the morning and totally forgot that we didn't have a place to stay. That night, we slept in the Blazer. The four of us and all our shit. It sucked. The next day, we slumped around the East Village and ate at Dumpling Man. Oh, Dumpling Man, promise to never change. That night we rocked the shit out of the Lit Lounge. We had a decent little crowd and everyone was having fun. Thanks to Swimming Costumes and Go Motion for rocking with us. The next day we drove and drove and stopped one time to eat chinese take out and continued to drive some more until we made it back to Durham. We had a blast, but we're going to stay closer to home for a while. Thanks to all the people that came to our shows and let us stay at their places (Mark, Patrick, Laura). And thanks to all the killer bands that we had a chance to play with and all the clubs that let us play. And thanks to the cool ass northeastern American cities for being so damn cool. Yes! Thanks for reading our blog. Here are our upcoming shows:
Thursday, July 12 @ Local 506 Chapel Hill, NC w/ Pela
Friday, July 13 @ James Joyce Durham, NC w/ Pneurotics, Max Indian
Saturday, July 14 @ Bella Festa Wilmington, NC w/ Dead to Society, Ghost of Saturday Night
