The Death By Doll tour is in full swing! All the dates are mainly booked, and are currently posted at the events section of DD.com and Death By Doll MySpace, but we're updating constantly. The dates for the Jane Eyre and Meat Cake book signings will be posted soon too, so keep checking back in with us.

I would like to thank all the lovely bands, friends, and bookers that have been helping Death By Doll set these dates since last May. We are really looking forward to the best tour ever starting in Rocktober! I am going to design a poster and post it on the DXD MySpace page and DD.com, so anyone who wants to print it out and help us promote with flyers, posters etc. can. I love and appreciate the "Do It Yourself" punk rock way. Its the ONLY way that has a heart these days.

Also thanks to the lovely ladies at Putnam Penguin who are booking and promoting the Jane Eyre Book signings!

Speaking of things in the works, my feature film Gasoline is going great, too. We are an independent production company, Day Of The Spark Productions, and we have about a dozen co-producers headed by the lovely and talented Josie Basford. We also have an initial investor, an animation company, and a few official actors signed to it. If you have any ideas of any way or anyone interested in helping our production cause, especially leads for investors, environmental, grant based, individual or what have you, please contact me at "The Agency" section of DD.com and put "Gasoline" in the subject line. A lot of cool new things are happening every day, like a magic atomic mushroom.

Speaking of mushrooms, I'm back on the raw food diet. I had to go off during my two-month stint to the east coast to get my production crew in order. But really, if you want to try it you should, because it makes everything all magic and sparkly for no reason. I make hummus, spaghetti, veggie burgers, lasagna, tostadas, borscht, gazpacho, cake and pie, everything! With no cooking, no meat, no milk, no sugar. Its NUTS! (Pun intended)

Combine this with the generational mermaid water ballet that I am going to do with my doll, a young fairy goddaughter, and a lovely crone, as well as surfing with the home slices, riding my bike ("Candy"), nature walks, and fairy sighting with fairy friends, and thats a dollerious exercise program for the young old, and insane!

By the way, I had wonderful witches realign the left and right lobes of my brain, which stopped me from being morose and revealed to me that I have a new Dad now(in addition to my real Dad). His name is Steven Hawkings. Yes! THE Steven Hawkings, the billionaire scientist! Now I am a scientist, too, or at least have the adopted DNA of a billionaire scientist. So now that we're related, I rented all his TV shows from the library. I just love him and his voice so much! And Isabelle, my doll, loves him too, and he's her Dad now too. (But she's just copying me.) We both admire that he's in the entertainment business. Maybe he'll do a rock show or cabaret with us now. Who knows? The sky is the limit!

LOVE LETTER

Steven Hawkings should be in my love letter section, but theres a little bleed. Thats ok.


Who I really love are my bandmates: Aaron Detroit (synth), and Christopher "Christofurry" Hydinger (drums). I also love Crooked Cowboy (sound). I'm saying this because they are all amazing friends and have helped me so far through some pretty dark times. Dark times for a darkwave band? Who could have heard of such a thing?! But its all ok now! In fact, we're planning on doing an animated fantasy video where we are all riding on surf boards with our instruments! Christofurry is going to have his whole drum kit on the surf board Its going to be great!


With black hearts flying around?

Current Affairs:

Get this... I almost got bit by a rattlesnake and a black widow in the same week!

No, I was not on Fear Factor! I was at the location for the voodoo ritual scene for Gasoline, where the lead character does a dance with a snake, and while taking location photos I almost stepped on a rattle snake in the dark! JESUS! But I'm OK.

So here's a really GIRLY story that involves 2 girls and a widow:


After the rattlesnake incident, I went home and was cleaning my house and there was A BLACK WwwIiDDOWwww in a web under the table. Now you may think this makes me a bad housekeeper, but I'm here to defend my honor by saying I was out of town for nearly 3 months, so there!
Anyway, so my dear friend the Daring Michelle put on rubber kitchen gloves and caught the Black Widow in an empty tampon box and threw it out the window. She's my hero! Michelle gets the the "spider whisperer" award. See now why this is a cute and pink girlish tale? She ROCKS!

I love Jimmy Carter. To me he does no wrong. I really love the fact he put the solar panels on the White House. Can you even imagine?! Bush would never do any thing so forward thinking. And this was 30 yrs ago now! Jeez. Well anyway, Amy Carter got one of my dolls about 10 yrs ago. Her husband wrote me the nicest letter too. I want to get back in touch with her and tell her about my movie. If she is like her Dad the way I'm like mine, then she's bound to love us! The Gasoline researchers are on it, but we can't find good contact information for her. I know she writes books now (I saw one of them), and I have been trying to get in touch with her because I know she would help us with our cause (or at least find our environmental movie...um... droll).
