"Why would you want war with someone like me...? It's like going to War with Bush "

Is what Jay Z proclaimed in the December issue of the XXL.  His new Album Kingdom Come has the streets murmuring, some Fans hating, and the press totally clueless.  As a Jay-Z fan myself I gotta to admit, the new album isn't quite what I expected.  Instead of opening bangers like the Dynasty intro, The Ruler's Back, and December off the Black Album.  Kingdom takes a more laid back approach, a more laid back Jay, quietly pointing out why he left the game, his new hustle, and  his reason for his highly anticipated return to hip hop, With lines like "As u see I can't leave so I do love you " he explains why he can't stay away.

But is it really love? Or just hustlers withdraw? If you recall in the movie Paid in Full. There's a scene Between Ace and his man Mitch, where Ace, after surviving a gunshot wound to the head is sprawled out on the couch talking about getting out the game.  Mitch listens, but then expresses his love for hustling and his unwillness to leave the game. With watery eyes Mitch exclaims" yeah... a nigga can leave the league" referring to the Dope game," but will the Fans still love me". So is it really love that brought JAY-Z back, or a inner Self loathing that can only be subdued by the stage, the limelight, and tons of adorning fans.

Or is he the new Bush? A republican who cares more about advancing his hold over less formidable foes and starving countries, than addressing the needs and the ills of the people ? If you were to ask LL, the roots, method man, and few other Def Jam Artists, they'll probably say he's a Black Republican.  A Black Republican who Conquered Nasty NaS like Bush Conquered IRAQ, and who is now reaping the monetary benefits by having GoD's Son sign at the same label that he controls.  They'll say this cuz this like BUSH and his republicans, Jay's been accused of only spending money and showing love to those who fully pledge allegiance  to his beloved and hated Carter Administration.

Is Hip Hop's savior? Well if Selling 700 thousand copies in your 1st week, only to experience an 80% drop in sales in your 2nd week, is any indication. I'll say yes and no, but I'll let you decide.

Thank you brother for writing this piece. It is nice too know that even Jay Z fans see the anti christ in him, Jay will never be a savior in hip hop he is not an original, he is a slave too what drives the game(money, cars, jewelry anything materialistic); not what made it = Grandmasterflash, Afrika Bumbata, slave chants, KRS, Ice Cube, NWA, It is time for someone too take a firmer militant approach at leaders like Jay, damn I wish PAC was still here!

I'm not really a jigga listener .. and i haven't heard anything from kingdom commme but the overplayed over hyped overexposed show what~ I think tha't the name. ne way.. the hip hop culture as a whole is a slave to those guys wearing the white collars on in def jam's case/the roc.. they are slaves to the old guy wearing the NY yankee brim.. as long as the junkies of rap crave what the so called god of rap has to offer he will continue to give them the watered down version of a mature reasonable doubt lp..

When will the peasants of the hip hop subculture realize they are being led by the nose ring .. it's not about the love when your pockets are that fat .. it's about fatter pockets.. and ne one that's ever hustled "in arena of hustle".. but if you have anykind of get up and go in ya.. u know that the tempation of a watered down project is always prevelant..

So I say suck it up to the hip hop game . U got got... charge it to the game!!

THE GAME NEEDS A CHANGE!
