After massacring the game in 05, 50 is poise to conquer the charts with his new album, "BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT". The Album will contain production from the usual suspects, and is due out next this spring. After the commercial and critically success of 50's first offering "GET RICH OR DIE TRYING". Many fans and critics felt that 50 would ascend to the reigns of Rap Legends, such as Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, and Sir Hova (Jay Z). But after releasing his sophomore album "THE MASSARCE" in 05, those same fans and critics started singing a different tune.

THE MASSARCE (unlike 50's first album) was built to sell, and was loaded with radio friendly singles and lacked the hungry and passion of his debut. After this some critics started saying that 50, "Got rich and stop trying", Mocking the Mc's change of Direction in his music. But even with all the hate, THE MASSARCE, live up to its title. Selling over a million copies in its first week (which was really a half a week, the album got release on Friday due to heavy bootlegging) and sound scanning over 7 million on the year.

In a recent interview with the ladies at Jewel Magazine, 50 spoke about the new direction of his new album by saying "Some lines in the songs will capture the innocence of my adolescence and the stuff I went through growing up". Critiquing himself he went on in the interview to say that he felt that he "overwrote" THE MASSARCE. In a recent interview with MTV 50 further explain the pressures his faced when making the massacre, and commented on Jay Z sudden lack of appeal with fans and critics.

"My second album was the toughest. You are in competition with yourself," he said. "It's always harder. The title of my new album, 'Before I Self Destruct'. Is a reflection of that pressure. In Jay-Z's case, he just ran into Jay-Z. The critics are comparing him to the old Jay-Z saying, 'his stuff wasn't as good as the older stuff, he looks too relaxed.' I saw on a TV show recently, 'he looks like he belongs in the office'. But what can 50 fans really expect from "Before I Self Destruct"?

50's response to MTV

"…I'm gonna do something different….nobody can be me; better than me. That's what the general public has bought into, 50 Cent."

You got it G Unit Fans! Look out for that new 50 cent Album coming this spring.Holla!

lol, for the first time i agree with 50. I do think JayZ needs to fallback now. He raps about 30 is the new 20 and he's damn near 40, lmao. I think he should have stayed retired. Sat his ass down and waved, lol. As for 50 i'll judge his new material when its in my cd player and i'll holla back!!
