Hey everybody,

it's been a while since we let you all know whats going in camp 7.y.b.l. Turns out, not that much - but i guess i'll let you in on what we're up to anyway:

- Some of you might have noticed we did NOT play a whole bunch of long announced shows we had planned with the glorious Candy Beat Camp in April / May. Well, i suppose you have the right to know the truth. Why did we let you down? Because our drummer is a jerk. To cut a long, painful story of idiocy and suffering short: he fell of a kids toy on a playground and got a spine contusion --> no drumming for 4 weeks. Sorry for that, he got punished.

- This far, 2009 has been a bit lazy as far as live shows. We were all incredibly busy, with Tom Beau doing his civil service, Andy writing his long-awaited thesis (on slaves and literature...and stuff) and myself going entrepreneur (not much of a time saver either). BUT: we used all the time we had to write, write, write and rehearse new songs. This leads me on to the next issue:

- We'll spend some time in late July in Graz' s very own S.T.R.E.S.S. studios to lay down a bunch of new songs we think sound pretty rad. Black magic will be provided by our old pal Nickl Gruber. We're all pretty excited. What we'll do with the results of that session, we have no idea. As soon as anything is sure and fixed, we'll let you know.
I suppose this time we'll try to keep track of things by writing a studio diary, but as usual, let's see how that works out.

- Besides these recording plans, i'm afraid this summer won't see any 7ybl live dates as we all have tons of things to do. Tambi, the bastard, decided to spend most of August and September hunting elks in Sweden and diving for pearls in Bali. Andy has scheduled an extended trip through the USA. And I, King Geranz, will get meself a wife in June and go to a faraway place for honeymoon.

- But be assured: we are already in the process of booking shows for fall and winter, no worries. As soon as anything is confirmed, we'll let you know here on myspace. Keep checking.
