So we’re back
on the road jumping around town like hot potatoes. Last week we started off
with Phrase in Belgrave & Torquay and both gigs were off the wall. A funny
moment was when an old dude in Torquay was complaining that the music was too
loud during sound check…come on, it’s hip-hop baby.
We followed on
and stood up as part of Make Poverty
History Stand Up Against Poverty event held at Federation Square, where we
chilled with Tim Costello before he welcomed us as the new ambassadors for Make
Poverty History.
We left for
Sydney last Friday where we dropped in to pick up some shoes and fresh gear
from the boys at Supra/Kr3w before taking over Bondi. The night was explosive
and was by far the best gig we've played in Syd-town this year. Much love to
all the peeps that made it down.
At 5am on Sunday (yes…AM) we left Sydney
for Brizzy. Who would have thought we would bump into T-Pain and his boys at
such an absurd hour? They were on their way to our home town of Melbourne when
he turned to one of his boys and said ‘who stole my able bottom jeans’…I’m not
really sure if this is what came out of his mouth or whether I was just chronically
fatigued.
After some rest
at the hotel, we hit up the Valley Fiesta
in Brizzy. The day was perfect. The sun was shining, people were vibed. It
definitely had a family atmosphere to it but was one of the best family events
we’ve played.
