Did you ever feel you sank into a black hole and it appears you will never again escape? Well this has been the vein of my writing life the last several months. The day job, kids, life in general, it's become all consuming and not left any time at all for doing the author stuff I adore. I keep hoping the tide is going to change, but I have a feeling it won't be happening for just a while yet. The good news is I have five books out in 2009, and some older titles coming out in paperback for the first time later this year. Also, Sweet and Sinful, my latest Kensington Aphrodisia just released last week and is now out in stores throughout the U.S. Now to find time to fill up the 2010 shelves...

While I was away, life did indeed happen. I celebrated another birthday -- a huge thanks to all for the bday wishes! Very much appreciated -- actually got around to doing some reading, took in several zoos, fairs, amusement parks etc. with the family, and also learned that I will be having another little girl come Christmas Day or sooner. Oh, and my current little girl is now potty trained during the day. If that isn't a huge step, then nothing is!

I've also plotted about 20 stories. Most of them are in my head only at this point, though some have made their beginnings on paper or the computer screen. I have a SPICE Brief that is overdue to be finished and a novella due Oct 15th so I really do need to get writing here again soon. These ones both happen to be contemporaries, but I am eager to get back to writing single title suspenses with paranormal ties. I love these stories and the ride they take me on. I do have one of those in the works, too, so maybe...
