Single Review
Without
a doubt Silent Film Project are in great hands. The KIDS record label
is up there with a host of really good new young bands to their name.
The Paper Cuts, The Wombats, iLiKETRAiNS, Kyte, New Education, Band of
Horses and Defend Moscow to mention but a few.
So can Silent Film Project cut it? On the evidence of the new single 'Two Days', it's a resounding yes.
A
summer tune just shouting out for the decent weather to come. Again we
have girl/boy fresh playful lyrics between singers Paul and Lisa.
Veering on the folky, indie pop sound, jangly Johnny Marr style guitars
twinkle throughout. A radio friendly tune. "'Two Days' is a summer
indie pop anthem in the waiting" - it's difficult to argue against.
'Alligators',
the B side, gives a familiar sound, similar to The Wombats. Clean,
sharp and to the point, it all sounds playful, colourful and simple.
The way it should be.
I need not go on, buy it and enjoy.
