Current mood: cheerful
so why new york is the modern times rome (rome of the ancient roman empire times :)? here's why: according to many writers rome was the biggest city in the world, with so many people in the streets it was hard to go by big city? many people? city traffic problems? check!
they say it was so loud on the streets, you couldn't hear even if people yelled in your ears no comment check!
and finally...there was such a smell everywhere from the garbage on the streets, from the horses' shit and piss, from the rotten food leftovers and the animals at the markets, that one could only pray to get faster home, away from this smell..what can i say.... CHECK!
Edit: ok, to avoid any misunderstanding, despite all these - i still like living in NY ;-)
