As a songwriter probably my greatest dream is to have others perform my songs.

Fabulous jazz vocalist, Mayumi Akasaki, is making this dream come true. Several times since mid-October Mayumi has performed one of my archival songs, "It's Time to Get Away" in hip jazz clubs. She and her keyboardist/arranger, Shuhei Mizuno, have been working on it and practicing for some time. The song made its "live" debut Oct 18 at Satin Doll in Okazaki City.

Mayumi says that she will perform the song again Nov 21 with full band including violin, piano and bass. This is truly something to look forward to!
