If I was as eloquent with words I could write something absolutely beautiful in return. As it is, I can merely say "Wow, so many of those words could be spoken by me"

....I suppose that is why (or at least one of the reasons why) I enjoy your music so much...
 

I grew up in a "spiritual" town.
everyone and their brother cousin father mother friend has a crystal in their pocket. I saw the new age explode from the other side of the counter where we sold them their crystals, health food and metaphysical books.....
"Spirituality" is a word so misused, and it rings of granola crunching very loudly. Hee hee..... I am a reluctant hippie from woodstock.
I struggle sometimes for the word that means what I mean when people take what I mean to mean spiritual....

Magic is perfect. I love that it can represent both the esoteric and gives me the image of a child some cards and a wizard hat. Which of course IS the magic in the mundane.

Sure, we all resemble the beauty we wish to see and share and spread, and sometimes, we just are the struggling hearts on the path to bless another heart, or just find blessing and relief from ourselves and our mistakes....

Your words struck me, the reluctant spiritualist, the first time I heard you sing them; and of course Perry is an inspiration.... I found you both about the same time, and although I thought he might be the new messiah then, I see now so clearly how we all have to save ourselves, and collectively be the One....

I know that I continue to remind you of the little vision I have to save the world with you... and I know that I came out of my face when we e-met, simply because I had been waiting for your arrival. My magic, your magic....

Of course I want to marry you and make beautiful music and magic love to save hearts from the impending crush.... but....
That is all in the magical daydreams of a better place.
For now I will read your blogs and listen to your songs, and when I have a better plan....

I wonder, Shawn, why now is the time for you to share so much of yourself in just the last few days. fights, violence and the political one. perhaps there is no particular reason. often, i find that i share more, open up with people when i am in need of connection. either way, i feel lucky to have heard your voice and leaned on your words for so many years. thanks, man.

Shawn,..I find myself doin the same thing,... that is writing words to inspire myself from all the contradicting thoughts that i can have through the course of one day. It's a battle that can only be won with 'Love'.
