so how was everyones christmas and new year celebrations ? mine was good .!!
sat nite before christmas we caught up with some extended family at dads sisters at camberwell, were we gathered for a seafood bbq . i took my new man jluv with me and so he met more family . the sun morn we had a family brunch at my brothers and his wife new house at east brunswick ,my man picked me up and so we got there early . met the sister in laws mum first and then my sisters got there eventually and the sister in laws sister as well . with plenty of food and present sharing .the neice loved her presents.
my man jluv and i left about 11.30am and made our way to trentham , were i had rented a house for the week . my sisters eventually got there by mon evening , my jluv helped bring in their bags and boxes etc and showing them around the house - so good of him . then he left for home to go to his family xmas the next day.
the house was good because it had 3 double rooms and 2 rooms with bunks and a couple of lounge rooms . we took the master room with ensuite ,spa bath very good .
christmas day we had brunch with seafood and dips and fruit , before putting on the vegies . so as we drank and opened pressies and taking photos. and making sure the dog was happy . then my ballarat sister and her boyfriend left for xmas dinner at his parents place in seaside melb . then the rest of us got our dinner ready .
with ham and turkey and vegies , was good because didnt feel rushed ,but just a relaxed dinner and not too much too eat . plenty of chocies as welll. and looking at our pressies and sleeeping.
the next day with a late breakkie ,we eventually got up. my ballarat sister and her man and my man came back . and one of my other sisters had to melb but was bac in the evening .my man came bac with a bottle of baileys for me ..yummy.
one day my man jluv and i went to daylesford and hepburn springs ,then up to newstead to see his sister and her hubbie . we also went to a chocolate factory .two of sisters went to melb for a few hours and were bac by evening . my other mt evelyn sister left to go bac to work the next day .
so between walking and cyccling , and visiting wineries etc ,and local pubs . and bumping into 2nd cousins who were camping at blackwood it was a good week .
so sunday came around too soon before we had to clean up and leave . my man jluv was very good in helping . so we went home via mt macedon and hanging rock etc , and then getting lost taking a couple of wrong roads ..oh well ,it was fun . stopping at whittlesea ice creamery because it was hot . home by about 5pm . time to unpack with the help of jluv ,thanks . and then put some washing on and then he went home before organising to pick me up about noon the next day .
new years eve , juv picked me up and made our way to noojee for lunch at the pub on the hill under the trees ,then continued on to traralgon , first to the motel and then to his daughters were we were going to see in the new year . so with other family and friends and neighbours ,with lots of kids in the swimming pool .
the new year was seen in with a lot of drink and food ,with a bit of argey bargey and fireworks .and back to motel and back home evetually on new years day .
some story there....and so the melb heat wave continues .
