Question # 3-

Q- if dc talk makes a new record would you start over & incorporate the different musical styles the three of you had with your solo projects or would you start where you left off with the supernatural record?

A- I think starting over would be easier....but actually picking up where we left off, and building on what made us initially successful would be more interesting and challenging....in reality, dctalk is the sum of its parts....put us together in a room, start the recorder...set the wheels spining and you have a dctalk project....with the exception of outside sources such as Mark Heimmerman, Joe Baldridge, Otto Price, Mark Townsend, Todd Collins, John Painter, George Cochini and many others behind the scenes.

Cool, yeah I love "Supernatural" and have probably listened to it more over the years than even "Jesus Freak" because of the songs and lyrics so that'd be awesome!

so basically,... ok let me say this right. basically, what we hear from you guys separately isn't the fact that y'all changed when you separated, it's just the parts of dc Talk.. right? because you said dctalk is the sum of its parts. or maybe... ok. ha. maybe i just wanted to have an idea of what i was talking about. but ok. i didn't know dctalk ever making another CD was even a possibility, so reading this is kind of assuring. i was too young to go to any concerts when y'all were still doing them, but i am definitely still blessed by your recorded music, and would definitely love to hear another ..]
thanks for the blogs.

My husband and I made a bet that you wouldn't be back together by December 31 of 2008... You see, I really wanted you to get back together, but I can be pretty pessimistic sometimes, and when I saw the number of years you've all been solo, I thought that the possiblilty of you all getting back together to be my cherished Dctalk again was slim to none. So I made the bet with my husband because I figured you wouldn't be back together again... I must say, though, that I'm glad I was wrong about you. I was so happy and relieved to find that you still see reuniting as a possibility in the near future, and if I lose the bet-who cares! DCTALK IS BACK!!!

Thanks for all your wonderful music! :)

I just read all three questions and I liking what I'm hearing. I've been listening to dc Talk since I was 11 years old. Way back in 1989 when their debut album DC TALK came out. Although I have really been loving the solo albums, it would be sweet to hear and see dc Talk together again. If it is their last album thats cool. Think for a second though....if they were to do even more reunion albums and tours in the future, think of the possibilities. They wouldn't have to call it quits on dc talk, until the day the three of them retire. With that said though I wouldn't want them to do an album just because they felt they owned us anything. It should be something they pull from deep down in side themselves from the artistic and spiritual cores. Well at least that my 2 cents.

I think if the three of you get together the magic will be there, whether it's picking up from where you were or creating something completely new, your fans are waiting and will be loving whatever comes froma reunion.

Hey guys.. I have been a fan since i was in 4th or 5th grade and you guys really brought me through some hard times. My Parents had gotten a divorce and my dad and mom were remarried to people who hated me and my brothers.. There was no refuge for me except God. Your music really encouraged me through these times and pushed me to give God Lordship over my life.. I went to Bible college in Germany with torchbearers and God called me to be a full time youth pastor in North Carolina. I was born in Phoenix Arizona and only made it to one of your concerts, it was a Phoenix Baptist Church, and it was really great.. Anyways I am a 20 year old youth pastor and i want to thank you guys for being faithful to what God called you to do.. And for this next generation of youth, i do hope that God leads you all to get back together.. Thankyou guys for being the light in dark places.. and always push on to maturity.
:)

I am greatful to know I'm not the only one wanting to see you guys together again. God blessed you each with an unbelievable gift of music, but when your together that gift is amplified beyond anything humanly possible. God works through you all for us, I want thank you all for allowing him to do so...I already thank him daily for it. I know that anything you guys do together will be blessed work. I really hope to be able to take my daughter to see you guys in concert, it will be a first for us both, and a huge blessing to be able to share that with her (I think she's getting to be a bigger fan than me). If you should start touring again please keep Lubbock, Texas in mind. We love you guys here. God Bless and hope to hear more news soon!
