Moving from the small college communities of Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID to Portland has thus far been a trying experience. It has taken us much longer to plant our roots here and become settled than we had originally thought. We arrived midway through the summer of 2007 after two and a half years of playing house parties for free beer; rolling into town without a bass player and with a handful of un-mastered and unreleased recordings spanning the length of our short existence.
In the year that has past between then and now, we have played only but a handful of shows and have still yet to have any of our recording mastered, let alone released. However, recently the tide has been changing. We have written a lot of new material and have settled on a more abrasive, darker sound, with the same indie pop sensibility and odd sense of time. We also have just found a steady bass player in our good friend Brandon Gradin, who is formerly of Morgans Door and has played with us for a few of our past shows. We are all excited to bring him into our writing process and plan to enter the studio at some point in the next couple months to record 3-4 new songs. Expect more shows, newer and cleaner recordings, amd some new merch.
Thanks to all of those who have continued to turn their ears in our our dirrection. We have always tried to write music that we would listen to if we weren't in this band. It has always worked and that has never been more true for us than it is right now. We hope that you all share our excitement for what is to come.
