I've been doing The Wyrd Ways Rock Show now for over a year, and the time I take on it has definitely grown.  It used to be a 90 minute show, approximately.  Now it regularly heads towards 3 hours.  It takes a lot of work and most of my weekend to put this behemoth together.  Not just my weekend, either.  Most evenings during the week are taken up sifting through MySpace friends requests and sending out messages to the bands I like to ask for music from them.

I end up working pretty hard on this!

OK, there are definite compensations.  Getting to meet some of my heroes and favourite musicians, for a start.  Going backstage at gigs and festivals.  Meeting some excellent people from all over the world.

Thing is, it isn't free.

The hosting costs money.  This website costs money.  Buying CDs to play for you costs money.  I don't get all of them for free, y'know!  The Krypteria one, for example, cost me money.  To be honest, I definitely don't begrudge paying for my music.  I'm supporting the bands so they can carry on doing what they do.

This is where you come in.  I could do with a little bit of help to make sure I can carry on doing this.  I've got plans to expand this website a little to make it less cramped, but that's not free.  What I'd like you to do is this: help me out.  There's a couple of ways you can do it:

1) Go to the Wyrd Ways Rock Show Shop via the link on the homepage, or at http://www.cafepress.co.uk/WWRS and buy some stuff.  There are t-shirts, hoodies and so on there, so you're getting something for your money.

2) Click on the "Donate" link on the front page, below the player.  Show your appreciation.  £1, a Euro, $1... everything makes a difference, and odds are you won't even notice!  If you're feeling more generous, go for it.  All donations are very much appreciated and will be channelled back into making the show better.

3) Sponsor the show.  If you do that, you'll get your logo (if you're a company) placed above the player on the front page of the site, and every show you sponsor will be "The Wyrd Ways Rock Show, sponsored by ..".  You'll also get a permanent presence on my links page and an advert read out during the show.  That'll cost you... I don't know... £25 per show?  That's not unreasonable, is it?

Come on.  I'm not threatening to stop doing this if I don't get so much per week, but it would be nice to get a bit of help from you, my audience, and everybody can afford either £1, a Euro or $1... or just one of whatever your unit of currency is.  Or even a t-shirt or a hoodie or... well... anything from the shop.

Over to you.
