DEATHSKIN RAZORS- "Hearse City USA" EP
For some reason, I guessed DEATHSKIN RAZORS were from either Ohio or Upstate NY, and they appear to be from Detroit, which isn't too far off. The band seems like they're working within the framework of modern hardcore, including drawn out intros and moshy breakdowns, but is too restless and alienated to follow the formula even if they wanted to. the unpolished recording lends itself well to what DEATHSKIN RAZORS has come up with, and they also employ my favorite kind of in-the-red, abrasive, high pitched vocals (think NINE SHOCKS TERROR, RNR, or the JURY to name a few) to back it all up.
