Current mood:  sleepy

To everyone that's coming with us on our trip to Kansas:

I found the majority of the info that we needed on the johnson county library last Wednesday and I got the rest of the info a day or so ago when Kelly Sime emailed me back  (she's the YA librarian that I've been in contact with since we first got this whole thing together).  As you aleady know, the event is this Thursday.   As you may or may not have been told, we need to be at the library by 2:00pm.  And since this place is about a 20-30 minute drive away from Trails West, we're going to need to leave a bit early.  Like....at 1:00.  That way, we'll be at their library a half hour early so that we can set up our stuff and get comfortable (mmmm....comfy).  Bring whatever project you're currently working on but be ready to put it down if someone from their library needs help.  The event is scheduled to last until 4:00pm. Bring some straight 8 US needles if you have an extra pair.....but don't worry about the yarn thing.  We'll be cleaning out our junk yarn that we've kept in the AV room-the simple stuff.  And we'll give them that to learn with.  Some of them might bring their own yarn, but it might be easier to try and teach them on the yarn we've got.  We'll see!

If I forgot to tell you something, then tell me....um...I think that's about it though.  :)

Oh, and I plan on bringing a couple of projects. One is a very simple headband that we could easily reproduce for the teens at the library and the other hmm... perhaps those arm warmers I keep meaning to finish or that scarf/hood thing that I plan on frogging once more.

Do you think that we should bring more things that they could make? Like, some wristbands or something?

Amanda, I'd love a ride. Thanks!

Alright, I'm good to go. I'll bring my extra 8 US sticks, and my merino scarf that I'm working on. If I think of anything else that I need to know, I'll let you know on Tuesday. <3
