As far as newer artists, I love Ours; Damien Rice; Jenny Lewis; Eastmountainsouth (they broke up though); and John Legend.

Working at an independent AAA radio station finds me listening to all kinds of music, but what I listen to by choice right now,

Edwin McCain is all ways not far from my CD player, his new CD is tops.
Adam hood, this acoustic roots rock kid from Opelika, Alabama. AMAZING!
Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers
Donavon Frankenreiter
Paige Aufhammer
Jackie Greene
Eugene Edwards
Rhett Miller
Pat McGee Band
HoneyTribe Featuring Devon Allman
Los Lonely Boys

I could go on and on but thats what gets my attention right now. I highly recomend The new Edwin McCain, and check out Adam Hood here on My Space.

I listen to launch.com. If you never tried it, it's awesome!!!
These days my faves are Jeffrey (of course), Alanna Davis, Duncan Sheik, Lili Anel, Danelia Cotton, John Mayer, David Ryan Harris, Nickelback but I'm still a huge fan of my favorite 70's and 80's artists - Three Dog Night, Hall and Oates, Kate Bush, Santana, Kenny Loggins, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell...I could go on but I guess that's enough.

Smitten on Nick van Eede

Okay, Jeffrey Gaines has always been my number one...but I do listen to other artist. Recently, one in particular...now hear me out...remember the band Cutting Crew from the 80's? (I just died in your Arms?) Well, Nick Van Eede the lead singer is back and has just recorded a new album called grinning souls that I think is really great. To me it is nothing like the 80's Cutting Crew... he has a myspace and also a website at www.cuttingcrew.biz
I agree that there are a lot of talented musicians that do not get airplay or the recognition they deserve. I have always been a Jeffrey Gaines fan and he will always be one of my all time favs.

Check out my friends. They are pretty much my favorite artists in order. Besides JG, my faves are Ben Arnold and Jim Boggia as well as the bands they were in: '4 Way Street' and 'US Rails'...
and Lizanne Knott, Andrew Lipke just to name a few.
