Who Gives Kudos:

Thursday, February 21, 2008

Hello, i just wanted to thank everyone whose messaged me and joined my little "friends" thing. I've added a few new bits to the page and copied some more paintings i've been working on. I also added some different songs into the machine. SORRY WE MISSED YOU and ODE are songs off my last album "Memoreaper". I'm still quite pleased with that record. Ive been recording alot again lately, hopefully i'll start getting a new batch of songs together in the next few months. SHE IS THE PATH is one of my favourites from the first Rick White Album 2005. It's not about a living girl, the "She" is the path. Thats who i'm holding hands with in the background image. FINAL CURTAIN DOWN is also from that album and is just a peaceful end to humanity. I also re-uploaded THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY song that i made with some of the movie's audio back in 1998. I love that original movie and that scene on the boat still freaks me out. Gene Wilder is great in all he's done. For an extra something i put a song from a brand new live recording that was made at a really nice show i played on February 9th 2008 at the wonderful Music Gallery in Toronto. IMAGINATION was played at the end of the show and was originally performed by Ernie in his bed on an early 70's episode of Seseme Street. Beautiful little song. Thanks for listening, talk to you soon.
Rick.

The Sea Threw Timothy

Marilyn Manson also did a version of that chocolate factory poem on his first album...it is surreal to compare different mind interpretations of Willie's scary psychedelic wordings. Is "Grim Unintention" from a brand new album? "She Is The Path" goes down very deep in my mind, I love it.
