help keep myspace alive it is a better way to promote ur music if thats what u r into( like i am), now face book on the other hand is some kid like shit to me, thats just my opinion( its all fun and thats what the world is having to much fun no business)....u cant control who leaves content on ur page and u cant put up music as efficient as u can here on myspace, to me now: Myspace is Pure Good nostalgia for promoting music, i do myself have an face book page but it is so un-user friendly & u cant even use your stage name if u wanted to hows that for music promotion, at least on myspace people can find their way to your music more easily.......lemme know what u think about what i saying...

totally agree with you. facebook is surely more funny, but myspace is, as you said, a better way to promote music.

i try more than one time facebook and i can't understand that such a unfriendly to use site is the state of the art. Also it seems not to be possible to delete your profile, it is more or less in a "not active" status, which i think is also very strange...

I agree,It seems that facebook is more about keeping in touch with high school friends instead of networking.

I had this same topic on one of my blogs a while back but at first I thought it was just me bi*ching so I took it down. but now this inspired me to put it back up.  If you have a full time job and you try to do something productive with yourself like make tracks/mixes or if you have a family or whatever, who has time to keep up with not one, not two but now THREE (taking twitter into account as well) social networking sites!  I say if anyone wants to keep focused on the music especially, get yourself a blackberry and myspace is the way to go.  Oh AND SOUNDCLOUD!!! SOUNDCLOUND IS DA ShItDz.  NO frills.  You can't even communicate about anything but music on soundcloud.

i dont get it about facebook.  it is completely non user friendly, and hard to navigate on while you are there.

plus, they have clauses that say they will retain your data even after you delete your account.  i set up an account but now im wondering...  i think its just an alternative, and thats where all the hype is coming from.   myspace is where you can promote your music.  period.

Best place to promote music is Sound Cloud, you can upload traxs and set. There is no file size limit, and it's all FREE!
