Thanks to all who came down to the Red Jezebel shows with British India - all the shows were a huge success, including sellouts at Norfolk and Amplifier. Mad props also to Kill Teen Angst who kicked some serious arse at those two shows.
The new Red Jez single Kicking Deadly Sins has been given official Triple J rotation so expect to hear it a lot more in coming weeks. Also on the radio front you can hear Woody and Al on RTR's Breakfast with Barr on Monday, August 13 at 7.30am. Woody will also be playing a number on-air as part of the station's Radiothon action.
On the live front the Jez will also be joining Melbourne rockers The Exploders on their WA album launch tour at end of August, before taking in the rest of the country on tour with Little Birdy. The tour covers Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane plus a hell of a lot of regional areas, with Sherlock's Daughter opening all shows. No South Australian dates on the Birdy tour, but Red Jezebel will be making the trek over mid-trip on their own for a show at Adelaide's Jive Bar on Saturday, September 22. It's hoped this will make up for last year's Adelaide no-show on the Eskimo Joe tour following Woody's unwise consumption of a dodgy mixed-meat kebab the previous night in Melbourne. Dhoooo.
The band has also just released the video for Kicking Deadly Sins - it's been made by their old mate Steve McCallum who was behind the previous Red Jezebel clip for You're Making Me Nervous back in 2004, and has since won a WAMi and a WA Screen Award for his work with Snowman. You can see it on Youtube here or on the Jez myspace, and keep an eye on Rage in coming weeks.
