Yes it’s time for this month’s thrilling instalment, so without further a do...

I’ve been laying down tracks for the next album for which I’ve got 5 songs written so far. I spent about 4 days Recording drums and bass. It’s been a couple of years since I played drums for any length of time so in no time at all I was completely shagged out. There’s still a long way to go yet since, me being the complete megalomaniac, I’ve got all the guitars, keyboards, vocals etc. still to do. Maybe I just ought to hire a band in to do it and then maybe go out on the road with it...but then I wouldn’t be in complete control...AAAHHHG!

Pat Duncan over at WFMU in New Jersey, USA has been playing tracks from the ‘Coolgilly and the Freakshow’ album on his wonderful show. Pat has also been playing tracks from the Boys From Bury album ‘Welcome To Murraysville’ for a while now so a very big thank you to him for all his support.

I’ve been made a ‘Featured Artist’ over at Audiosparx.com, the music library I write for. This means they’ll be actively promoting my stuff to their customers and generally featuring me more around their website. One of my tracks was licensed from them recently for a big corporate show in Las Vegas.

Played a gig at the Pulse Bar in Barnsley with the Boys From Bury which went down very well so I think we’ll be going back there sometime soon. We had to cancel a gig at the Blues Cafe in Rotherham as the owner decided to close the place down the week before we were due to play. We played there a couple of months ago supporting 999 and it was a great little venue with a great sound so it’s a real shame it’s closed. Hopefully someone will resurrect it sometime soon.

I’ve got to go and put some weed killer down in the garden now so must dash.
