Alicia Patton, Miss Grand Forks' Outstanding Teen, received 3rd runner up at the Miss North Dakota's Outstanding Teen competition June 6th wearing a custom Caroline Hayden evening gown. I also had the opportunity to work with Alicia on a custom interview dress and talent costume. Photos of her gown and talent dress are posted and photos of her interview dress will be posted soon. Alicia, you are so much fun to work with and I can't wait until our next project together!
I was lucky enough to be able to work with all three Grand Forks titleholders this year and had Justine Kirkeide, Miss Grand Forks, and Jaci Stofferahn, Miss Empire, compete for the title of Miss North Dakota (MAO) each in a custom evening gown. I've never been more thrilled at the outcome of two very different gowns that were created based on each young woman's personality and charm! Jaci Stofferahn received 1st runner up and will compete, wearing her silk chiffon sweetheart strapless gown, at the National Sweetheart Pageant as Miss North Dakota this Fall.
In addition to the above designs, I created two looks for my friend Tessie Jones, Miss North Dakota 2009, to include in her wardrobe during her farewell year. Tessie loves pink and I couldn't imagine her in anything else when designing her farewell gown! A lively cocktail dress in pink pearl beads and rhinestones was also created for her and I liked it so much that a version of the design will be available in my upcoming line. Photos of the cocktail dress are posted (belt Tessie's own) and photos of her farewell gown will be posted soon.
I travel to Montana this coming weekend to cheer on Annie Anseth and Brittany Wiser as they vie for the title of Miss Montana (MAO) while wearing Caroline Hayden!
