I am happy to finally be able to share with you the exciting news only a select few knew about since this July- I had the amazing opportunity to work with Miss Canada Universe Mariana Valente on a custom evening gown for the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.  Although my design did not appear on stage, (I will have to wait for that dream to come true) I'm thrilled to say that Mariana wore the emerald green custom beaded lace gown to the Miss Continente Americano Pageant this weekend in Ecuador!

I flew to Toronto in July to meet with Mariana, her national director, and her stylist for a fitting and was blown away by their hospitality and enthusiasm for my gown.  I had an amazing time and will definitely be back to Toronto to visit...what an incredible city!  As soon as they are available to me, I will post on stage photos of Mariana in the gown as well as many photos of my fitting with her.  Mariana, you are not only one of the most gorgeous young women I've met but also genuine and accomplished.  I must thank Denis for the opportunity to share my work with the Miss Canada group and I wish you all the best in the upcoming pageant season.
