Hey true believers! Greetings from sunny Orlando Florida.
Just a quick update before we spend our first day off pool-side with tropicoolatta in hand.
Yesterday we had our 2nd show-- a matinee-- and we pretty much rocked the hizzouse yet again. The audience was smaller but responsive with laughs-a-plenty. Word seems to be getting around that ours is a show to see. It will be very interesting to see what kind of house we get for our 3rd show, this Tuesday at 8pm (a prime time.-- hmmm... i think i just coined a phrase).
After the show we had some beers and said goodbye to the most amazing lighting designer the world has ever seen-- our friend-- Paul Hudson, as he left to go back to New York in order to prepare for his trip to Spain. We shall miss you, Paul. Without you... well, we'd be performing in the dark.
Many shows were seen yesterday by the Six Characters. Among them:
"Found and Lost" by the inFluxdance company. These gals rock. They not only burst with energy and individual, vibrant personalities but we found their show completely engrossing. At times comical and at times emotional, there was even a sniffle or two coming from our crew by the end. They're also the nicest, coolest bunch of people we've met so far at the Fringe. We want to take them home with us.
"Burden of Poof" by Poofy du Vey. We love her. We saw her do a short bit from her show back in New York and loved her then-- but her full show is simply amazing. She's not only funny but full of pathos-- and the sexiest clown we've ever seen. Luckily she's from NY so we don't have to take her home with us!
And... Oopps!!! Gotta jet. Just realized we're running late to pick up Kath. More Fringe updates later!
