Well from acoustic to electric and back we had a pretty full week with SXSW.  We started out Wed. evening at the co-op bar and played a small acoustic set with our good friend Brian Maynard on guitar.  The show went well and it had been a while since we've done some of those songs acoustic.  Mandi Perkins showed up a little later a rocked acoustic, she is a bad ass! 

I went back out to the co-op Thursday and fought all kinds of traffic to try and help our good friends Kevin Goes 2 College set up and play their set.  If you have not seen these guys I highly recommend you get out to see them.  They were bringing in close to 40 people at a time off the street, nice!  After this it was off to practice to get ready for Friday night.

Friday we headed off to San Antonio to open for Mandi Perkins, who again is a bad ass, and introduced a new guitarist.  Sean Grub from Kansas did a great job for us and expect to him out a little more under the Backslider name.  Big thanks out to Eric from 21 down to let us borrow his acoustic! 

Saturday we headed back to Round Rock to play a St. Patties day party for Pluckers.  Johnny Who opened for us and sounded great.  Lots of wind, green beer and loud rock, we had a blast.  We brought a good friend of mine back out to play bass that night, Jemi Hill, he was one of the founding members of Backslider and it was nice to have him back out. 

So that leads us to Sunday... ouch!  After all of that singing and playing and green beer drinking all week and Sat night I was not thinking about how soon 11:00am comes on a sunday.  So I showed up solo with a hangover and a guitar and did the best I could.  I met some great people out that day and even got some of them up to play a couple of songs with me.  A little Pixies and Janes addiction is just like going to church on a Sunday morning, right?  There's some pictures posted in our comments area from Sunday so I'll try to get them up on the site shortly.
