Luckily we've had amicable relationships with all of the bass players that we've had and each one of them has brought a lot to the table and really graced us with their talents but what is it with them really?  They can't just hang and jam?  What is this about freedom?  Or a raise at work so you have to leave the state.  I can understand if you just a fill in for a show.  I'll call that BFE Mk. I P2 - 1.  Kudos to Brian for helping us out this last summer for one gig at the Downriver Cruise on Fort Street.

As some probably know, I started this show with Tony, (Fat Tony) formerly of the Smashbandits.  He kept up with playing in the Fury, Sauce and some other band that I can't think of right now.  But he just over extended himself and wound up quitting just a few shows into the original project.

END BFE Mk. I

The next day we picked up Jess.  He hung out for about 10 months.  I guess we always knew that he wasn't going to stay with it.  He was too much of a free spirit and didn't like getting tied down to the ridged structure of a tribute band.

END BFE Mk. II

In those months Tony had freed himself up some from his other projects so earlier this last spring he came back on board.  We've had some of our best shows these last few month.  Then in August, job opportunities came up out of state that he just couldn't pass up.  We wish him the best of luck and he is and always will be a dear friend.

END BFE Mk. I P2

The beginning of a new era!

Terry Herman has now come on board as the man with all the wood in his hands.  We're really excited about all the things that we know we'll be doing in the next few years with Terry.  He brings to the table what seem like endless experience with great rock music and other tribute acts such as tributes to Kiss, Ozzy and Black Sabbath.  He also still plays with Work In Progress which plays throughout the metro area.

We've already done a few shows with Terry and we hope to post some video's soon.

Find him in our "Top Friends" as T-Bass.  Stop by and say hello.

Waaayyyyy off topic here, but are you really reading John Adams? So am I. My new favorite founding father. Dude did some amazing, if not impossible, things.

PS-Bass players rule. And did Terry actually do a stint as Gene Simmons, the next greatest person behind John Adams?

Yes, I am reading John Adams. I believe he is way underrated as one of our founding fathers. I really like the writings of David McCullough too. The short series was good but short. It misses on a lot of items. I plan on reading more of his things. He has quit a few. It will take me years to get through them all.

And yes, T-Bass was GS. The old skool pics he has are fargin' awesome!!

Sex, Drugs and Rock n' Roll does not drive us all.

Jefferson was the father of modern Republicanism. I looks good on paper but we see how the man was and I believe that the roots of who he was extend all the way to what we have today. It always seems that the presidents that are so middle of the road that they piss everybody off are the forgotten ones. The two termers seem to be on the far left or the far right and are loved by most and hated by even more! I do not understand why the ones that travel in a straight line down the middle of the road do not get more appreciation.

I have to balance my reading. My next book is going to be something like fantasy. I think I have "The Children of Hurin" next. JA just died so I'd better figure it out soon.

Actually, looking at the debates between Jefferson & Hamilton, You might want to consider Hamilton as Father of Republicanism, although Abe Lincoln is given credit as the 1st Republican President. But, Jefferson was for a balanced budget, and a level playing field in business & commerce. Alexander Hamilton believed that carrying a national deficiet was actually GOOD motivation for the people to work harder, and try to pay off the national debt. (of coure this was after ratifying the Constitution and Federalization of the Government. Any State with a deficiet passed it on as a National Debt.) While, in theory this sounds good. But, as we see today, we have just gotten used to ADDING to the national debt. Hamilton was also in favor of giving Advantages to American businesses, and imposing fairly Stiff tariffs on imports.
So, maybe he's the Father of the Dem's as well!

At any rate, Welcome to the Obama-Nation we have today! (I voted for Ron Paul...)
