Does anyone here have more than 1000 cds and if so, how do you store them? I'm pretty sure some of you have mega amounts. We have desperately outgrown our storage and need a better solution. No binders, because that just won't work for us. We need shelving. Uniform and with room to grow.

Any suggestions?

We just have boxes and piles which we toss about at random. It definitely leads to periods of playing the same thing the same thing the same thing, followed by a period of digging through and re-discovery. Not efficient and I don't really like it, but there it is.

Ah, there's nothing like finding something you'd forgotten you had! I like that. However, we're at critical mass. But it's nice to know that others haven't come up with solutions either. :)

Thanks for the advice, Charles! I have thought about this option but I'm not sure quite how we'd store the boxes for easy access. We'd have to spend $1000 on the sleeves alone, too. It's not out of the question, though. :)
