60 Second Crush and Mound Road Engine Rock for Detroit Opera House

May 21 Show at the Hard Rock Café Partially Benefits Detroit Landmark

On the Rocks Detroit presents a night of full-throttle rock by 60 Second Crush and Mound Road Engine on Thursday, May 21 at the Hard Rock Café.  Doors are at 8:00 p.m., show starts at 9:00 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Tickets are only $5 and partial proceeds from the show will benefit the Detroit Opera House. The Hard Rock Café is located at 45 Monroe St. in downtown Detroit.

60 Second Crush’s most recent CD, “Street Corner of Fear”, features ten blistering tracks of Detroit rock and roll.  The disc continues to receive massive airplay on TV shows on MTV, VH1, Spike TV, A&E and more. In fact, MTV’s “Road Rules” and USA Network’s “Dr. Stevo” both licensed “Street Corner of Fear” in its entirety.  During the band’s illustrious career they have toured the world, from headlining festivals in Munich and Hamburg, Mexico, and Amsterdam, to rocking high profile showcases at legendary venues including The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, SXSW (Austin), The Viper Room (Los Angeles) and the now defunct CBGB’s (NYC).

Relative newcomers Mound Road Engine’s fierce female-fronted rock has already made a huge impression on the Detroit Music Scene.  Two of their songs are featured prominently in the upcoming feature movie release “Heavy Mental,” (Silver Bullet Pictures) premiering in May 2009, and the band will also be spotlighted on the new cult TV show “Detroit Pillow Fight” to broadcast this summer.

Adding to the night’s festivities will be giveaways by both On the Rocks Detroit and the Hard Rock Café - who will be giving away two $25 gift certificates and other goodies to attendees that night.  Additionally, the Hard Rock Café will also validate parking cards for FREE Parking for those who park at the Farmer Garage (adjacent to the Compuware Building).

Don’t miss a great night of music for the Detroit Opera House at Detroit’s Hard Rock Café!
