I'm 100% straight. Im socially considered gay. Im psycholigically viewed as feminine. Im a walking contradiction, a gender role deviant.

____

My sexuality is always questioned.

"I don't mean to be offensive, but are you bi?"
"Just curious, are you gay?"
"NIgga you's a faggot hunh?"

Perhaps its becuase i deviate from socially accepted gender roles. I traded in football cleats for roses and inkpens. Long white tees for blazers and an GQ mag. My thuggish swagger is drowned out by artistic outlook.

I guess that makes me GAY.

I watch THE L WORD, i love righteous kung fu flicks, i read for leisure, i listen to maroon 5 and gnarls barkley, i drink green tea
I speak with great diction, emphasize being a gentleman, and im openly emotional.

I MUST be GAY.

I dont like sports, i dont fcuk for fun, my jeans fit on my ass, i wear "man bags", i use alot more than just soap and toothpaste for hygiene, and i have a soft spot for kids.

Im a 6'0" 275lb broad shoulder wielding STATUESQUE balck male

Stereotypically, im supposed to be fearless, tough, burly, rough. im supposed to eat bacon, eggs, nails, and glass for breakfast. Tears are for SUCKAS NIGGA!! Women are supposed to be bitches, and u fcuk bitches hard, spit on them, nut in their hair, and leave (its gay if u play maxwell during sex, THATS GAY right?)

THAT just AINT ME!

Im mistaken for gay, its a shot at my manhood, perhaps there is a definition of what makes a man. I guess having a penis and handling ur business isnt manly. I guess having a good heart and head on ur shoulders, walking to the beat of ur own heart disqualifies u as a man.//

//Being gay... hmm, gays are seen as intellectual, fashionably knowledgeable, well-spoken, artistically inclined, emotionally beautiful, high class, into feng shui, and into the rare pleasure in life.

perhaps gay is a complement (NO HOMO)

WOW..this is an interesting blog and I think a lot more men than you think can relate to this..I"m not sure who is calling you gay but it sounds to me that your artistic welcome to the life af a male in that category.  You often get thrown in a basket for being knowledgable about things other people dont undertstand..

Trust me, I've heard it.  Constant comments about me "Not being black, or a weird black girl" things on to that affect.  Because I don't want to run around in Nike dunks and listen to chingy all day I'm not hip enough to be black.  But YOu know what I don't care..I see myself superior because I know about many things and I havent restricted myself to the basic knowledge of hip hop and any other topics that other black think I should be conversed about.  I listen to rock, indie, hip hop and I love photography, flats, the yeah yeah yeahs, red lipstick, polka dots, double breasted jackets, I'm in love with the autobiography of Malcom X,  my family cooks soulfood on the holidays and my family is very much god fearing but to others I"m still not black enough.. I learned to careless about what people think and do me..The day I did that.. I became happier than I ever been!

Just call me weird.. I love to be that!

Wow! Your grammar is excellent, and your diction awe-inspiring! Additionally, you are a well-informed and worldly black man; If that constitutes been gay, then I'm sure all black men would prefer to be called gay! I can see how these accusations might offend you; especially considering your great stature and machismo pride. However, even though you aren't, there is nothing wrong(in my opinion) with being gay. And for the record, I'm sure most of the individuals who are questioning your sexuality envy your intellectual superiority. Go Tony!

Okay, first and foremost this part is my favorite: "Perhaps its becuase i deviate from socially accepted gender roles. I traded in football cleats for roses and inkpens. Long white tees for blazers and an GQ mag. My thuggish swagger is drowned out by artistic outlook. I guess that makes me GAY. I watch THE L WORD, i love righteous kung fu flicks, i read for leisure, i listen to maroon 5 and gnarls barkley, i drink green tea I speak with great diction, emphasize being a gentleman, and im openly emotional. And now for my input, as someone who's known you since high school, I guess I can kind of understand why you may come off as gay to other people, men especially. You're not a 100% complete dick. You like showers and your idea of a fun day supasses the usual smoke weed, pass gas, drink beer and playstation all day....so yeah....I guess in a sense you are gay. I mean you are addicted to your computer and videogames, and you are somewhat of an ass when you try, but with, clean nails, clean clothes, and nice breathe....all in all you're kinda a chick. ..which is alright. You choose to use your extended vocabulary to produce poetry instead of insults, compliment and flirts instead of "hey bitches and hoes". And hey wtf? You're gay b//c you like the L word? I love the L word, esp b/c the former Ms. Jackie Brown plays a gay chick. So in the same sense, if you're a gay for that show, then I'm a serial killer for my addiction to Showtime's Dexter. I guess bull-shit comments just make the word more interesting. So from a killer to a gay.....great blog. Keep them comming. Toodles.

Queen Leo (La Reina Leo)

I MUST be GAY.
