Well..where do we start?!

The great reactions to ‘waking up the neighbourhood’  release?

the radio sessions in support with the likes of bruce Dickinson?

 The fantastic gigs?

playing download?

rock in the castle?

the support tours?

thunder,the quireboys?

The fantastic reactions to the new songs introduced to the set?

The new merchandise we will be bringing out?

There is so much to talk about..but none of it would be possible if not for the fantastic public support from all you great music lovers out there!

We’ve had some great times..some of it documented in the blogs below(like the time at the Doncaster ‘leopard’ where a rather drunk person threw up everywhere…and when his false teeth chundered down among the carrots-he merely picked them up and put them straight back in his mouth!)

Its been wonderful playing our own gigs in various towns and meeting our new fans(don’t forget to come up and say hi to us or maybe get your photo taken with us..we don’t bite!)

Its at these gigs that we’ve managed to play longer sets and introduce new songs to the set.

We have been expanding our musical repertoire with songs such as ‘out of my mind’ (a slower zeppelin type number),  ‘shapeless world’ (a song in the vein of ‘drift away’..a previous fan favourite, ‘one more for the road’ (an uptempo ac/dc type rocker) and ‘misunderstood’ (a newer direction exploring the loud/quiet dynamic)

We will be bringing you some of these new songs in the new year so keep an eye on this page(if you join our mailing list at www.planetofwomen.net  you will be informed of all our goings on earlier than anyone else)

The support gigs have been wonderful..we did some gigs with thunder(don’t forget you can buy a copy of the ‘stay with me baby’ duet jade did with danny bowes at the thunder xmas gig of last year on thunders website.its not available in the shops)

We also supported the quireboys..and jade ended up doing a duet of ‘ode to you’ with spike, with the girls also doing bv’s on ‘I don’t love you anymore’ and ‘sex party’…these songs will hopefully come out on a planned dvd of the quireboys xmas gig at the mean fiddler.

We could not have asked for a friendlier band to support..what great people and what a fantastic band.

We played an acoustic version of ‘jimmy page’ on bruce dickinsons 6music show..he was very enthusiastic(and a great bloke to boot!)..as well as sessions on totalrock and various podcasts that show a bright new future for rock music exposure

Playing download and rock in the castle both received great reviews from the likes of classic rock, black velvet and more besides.

(you can read our reviews on our own website by the way)

We will be planning new merchandise in the new year but in the meantime we will be starting with the following offer:

Send a £1 postal order and an envelope big enough for a postcard(please DON’T forget to include a stamp so we can return it to you!) to:

Po box 46082 london W9 1ZD

For this you will get 3 badges(our main profile pic,one with our name on and our logo),a sticker..and a FREE autographed postcard!

DUE TO RECORDING

We ended the year with a fantastic xmas gig at the barfly that was packed solid at 8 30pm! (not to forget our friends mohair and joan ov arc who played blinders also) followed by a xmas acoustic gig in Camden with the lovely jimmy pinch

Don’t forget..more photos, extensive messageboard at our own site

www.planetofwomen.net

happy xmas and hope to see you in the new year
