Dear all

A belated Happy New Year to you all. We had some server troubles and this is the 1st newsletter we have been able to send out this year. We also  had a bit of a break over Xmas, to prepare for a big year ahead. This will include even more shows than last year, as well as our first gigs overseas, the release of our 2nd single  'I'm A Woman' in May and at last we will be recording our debut album.

We are doing brilliantly on myspace www.myspace.com/planetofwomen constantly in the top 30 UK rock, pop & classic rock bands for plays, views and friends. Some of you folks have been leaving some fantastic comments, keep it going we love to hear what you think.  'Waking up the Neighbourhood', has stayed in the top 10 podcasting tracks for 5 weeks, getting plays across the world. We had a brilliant response to our tour with the Quireboys before Xmas. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the girls even shared the stage with the boys adding a touch of POW vocals in their set and Jade dueted with Spike.

'I Don't Care - live' & ' Surrender to Cheap Trick' are available to download for free from our website www.planetofwomen.net all we ask is that you sign up to the mailing list & shout about us to your friends.

The single that we are releasing end of May 'I'm A Woman' is now up on myspace for you to listen to. It's a rockin new mix from Ace, we hope you like it as much as we do. We want to know where you are based. This will help us decide on areas to go and play gigs in the future. We have just set up a page at http://www.frappr.com/planetofwomen , go and add yourselves to our map, its free to join.

Street Team

Would you like to help us and promote Planet of Women? If so register for our street team at streetteam@planetofwomen.net closer to the release date we will send you posters, flyers stickers etc to give out to your friends and put in clubs, record shops, bars, collages, in fact anywhere that you feel there will be people interested in the band. Please let us know what places you think you should do this, where you are based and why you think you're the right person for the job? We need this information, as we will only choose a couple of people in each area to send out promo material. You will be rewarded with lots of signed stuff and there will also be some free tickets for shows given away to some of the best street teamers.
