Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all well!

Lots to look forward to in the next month for the wildcats in the captive breeding program as Port Lympne and Wildwood both get their new aerial walkways installed thanks to donations from Your Cat (www.yourcat.co.uk) magazine. As anyone who has been to Highland Wildlife Park probably knows the wildcats really enjoy these raised walkways and feel very confident in them so it's a great opportunity for people to see them clearly, on their terms! The magazine is now collecting donations to help build an entirely new enclosure at Camperdown Wildlife Park (http://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/..camperdown/) in Dundee, their enclosure is getting a little old and they were planning to create a small forested area at the park so we suggested they make it a big open air enclosure which could incorporate some of the mature trees which will make a big difference to the cats there too. All these parks will be adding wildcat updates to their websites soon, but drop in anytime to see the cats.

We've found another way for you to raise funds for wildcats by just surfing and searching the internet; Everyclick has a great web search powered by Ask, they partner up with charities like us and whenever our supporters use the search engine they donate a little bit of money to us, it doesn't cost you anything at all, so drop by http://www.everyclick.com/..scottishwildcats next time you're looking for something online!

Last update we mentioned volunteers and new social networks and this update there are more so just to make sure we don't miss anything here's all the info again;

Lots of people, lots of pictures, lots of wildcat talk so please do drop by your favourite network and say hello and of course we'd love to see your wildcat photos from the wild or from the wildlife parks on the new Flickr profile!

Worth mentioning that Flickr Gina is also now taking on duties as our website shop manager, she's working on a whole new bunch of wildcat related things to buy which will hopefully start appearing over the next month or so...

Finally a specially big shout out to anyone around Buffalo in the USA, Amherst Museum in Amherst are running their annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games this August 15th http://www.amherstmuseum.org/..scottish.htm and they'll be screening the film Last of the Scottish Wildcats throughout the day, a big thanks to the museum who have very kindly donated us advertising space in the program, and paid themselves for hundreds of our flyers to be printed in the US saving us the postage money! So big thanks to Eric at Amherst and also to two of our wonderful supporters all the way down in Texas who arranged for a US formatted copy of the film to make it to the museum; you know who you are so thank you guys! Check the festival out if you're in the area, it gets over 5000 visitors every year and looks a lot of fun.

That's all this month, have a great holiday if you're away!
