It was an honour to host the Wrexham Folk and Acoustic Guest Night last night at the Nags Head, Wrexham. I hope everyone enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed playing!
The guests - Fyrish - provided us with two sets of varied traditional and contemporary songs and the excellent acoustics of the room seemed to bring the best out of their sensitive playing and singing. A cello can sometimes be overpowering in a small room but, in the hands of Margorie the volume was perfect, adding a haunting extra dimension to the music.
Thanks to Goff and Ian for trusting me to run the night.
