Hello Harley Poe friends,
A friend and I have decided to put a movie monster art book together. We are looking for good artists who know and enjoy horror films and are looking to contribute to this art book.  For details write to my emai at JOECALIBRETTO@HOTMAIL.COM. Do not write Harley Poe's myspace or my personal myspace, because you won't get a reply. If you like to paint, watercolor, or color with crayons, and you enjoy illustrating monsters and maniacs, then send me a letter and we'll go from there.
Thanks a lot jerks,
Pappy Joe

I've been getting a lot of emails about this.  There are some things I need to make clear:
-Just because you like to draw doesn't mean your work will be accepted.  If you're interested, then send me a link to some of your work.  Don't even write me if you don't have something to show.
-Just because you love horror films doesn't mean you'll be accepted.  You must have some talent as well.

-I'm looking for MONSTERS from HORROR FLIMS. No humans, unless they've made some kind of physical transformation into a monster.

-I'm looking for obscure and forgotten monsters. Some good examples would be Neon Maniacs, Prophecy (the Monster Movie), Q the Winged Serpent, Silver Bullet, the Being, Mutant, They Live, Invaders from Mars, There's Nothing Out There, the Suckling, Creepozoids, the Beast Within, Critters, Ghoulies, Troll... No Draculas or Freddys. If you see it every Halloween, then don't bother.  If your friends who hate horror films have heard of it, then it's probably not a good idea.  This book will be made by artists who love monster movies.  There are so many out there! The 50s and the 80s are full of forgotten monster movies.  Try to stay away from monster movies from this decade.  Do some research.

-Each artist will be asked to do at least five renditions for the book. Send me your list when you send me a link to your work.  Hoping to have all art submitted by the end of Spring.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to seeing what you got.

Pappy Joe
