On the night of August 23, 2008, the forces of darkness attacked With Faith Or Flames. We were  watching "The Evil Dead" en route to our next show, and as soon as the tape in the basement played that demonic incantation, right as the lighting stikes, one of the wheels of our trailer came flying off (and rolling past us after we stopped). This unfortunate turn of events caused us to have to cancel the last few dates of our two-month quest with Killwhitneydead and retreat home early. Bassist Eric Collins had already decided that he was done with the adventuring life before that tour began, and considering that we already had to drop our numbers down to a four-piece for that part of the journey, losing him was a major blow to the band. To make matters even worse for us, he owned the van we toured in, and even though he offered to sell it to us at a very fair price, our funds at the time did not allow it.

Since that night, we have returned to the realm of mortals, biding our time by working and saving for the day when we can rejoin the battle. We've used this time to hone our skills, writing new material and even adventuring with our allies in other outfits to keep our senses sharp. Furthermore, we put out the call far and wide for warriors with hearts of steel, and heard back from many who were true to the cause. However, in the end, the choice became clear. Realizing that the thrill of the adventure was in his blood, Eric Collins has decided to return to the battlefront alongside us. And finally, to fulfill the long-awaited prophecy, longtime friend and true axe thrasher Stephen Curry will be joining us on guitar.

Now that we have finally reached our destined completion, we are very super stoked to announce that we will be returning to battle the forces of darkness again on AUGUST 29TH, 2009 at THE WAREHOUSE in EAST RIDGE, TN. Fighting along side us will be AS THE SERPENT PROCLAIMED, EVERY WORD A PROPHECY, FADED, and THE SEAS AFLAME. We picked these bands because we wanted the most diverse local lineup we could possibly bring together to showcase what heavy music in Chattanooga is all about.

To repay our loyal fans for keeping us in their hearts of steel during these dark times, we will be playing our highly requested first album, Beneath The Heel Of Oppression, in its entirety.
